Carole Graves

Executive Director/Music and CHoir Director/Music Educator and PIANIST

 
 


An accomplished pianist and dedicated music and choral director, Carole Graves is a talented, passionate musician devoted to bringing the joy and blessing of music to others.


For her graduate work, she studied Music Education at the Boston Conservatory. Her piano studies have been with Randall Hodgkinson (New England Conservatory, Wellesley), Michael Lewin (Boston Conservatory) and Linda-Jiorle (Brown University and Boston University) and Faye Maris of RIMTA.


She is the recipient of the RI state representative award for the1990 Baldwin Piano Competition. She is the winner of the Clavier's Composer's Competition. She was a faithful member and contributor to the activities of several musicians' circle organizations including the Chopin Musicians' Club and the Chaminade Musicians' Clubs in Providence, RI from 1982-1992.


She has been the founding Artistic Director of numerous music festivals and events sponsored by Boston University and the ARC of Rhode Island and various church organizations. She has collaborated with many regional artists on these projects and frequently performs with singers and other instrumentalists. She performs regularly in front of audiences giving solo recitals for numerous venues. She especially enjoys chamber instrumental collaborations and works intensively with classical violinists, cellist, and flutists in the Boston metropolitan region.


Carole is also an Arts Administrator with experience working for organizations such as the Lexington School of Ballet and other arts organizations. From 2006-2009, She founded and served as Executive Director of the Legato Music School. In 2015, She earned an MBA from Bryant University with special interest in Arts and Nonprofit Management and Leadership. In 2016, she founded Kaleidoscope Center for the Arts, a brand new arts center in the heart of South Coast Massachusetts, that provides unique, creative programming in visual arts, dance and music.


Currently, Carole serves as the Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Center for the Arts in Rehoboth, MA. She also serves as the founding and acting Artistic Director of the Healing Muses Group, a therapeutic music organization that provides music for the elderly and patients in medical care. Carole also enjoys working as an Accompanist for the River’s Edge Chorale and devotes her time and talents to the Unitarian Church of Marlboro-Hudson in Hudson,MA as their Music and Choir Director.
